Storyboards

Beginning your multimedia project often bgins with a storyboard. A storyboard consists of a schematic plan that outlines over time, the main chapters of stages of the project.

This applies to any moving imge project that travels in a linear or non-linear direction.

Linear

Video and animations that start at a particular point, usually the start and end at, usually the end. There is no deviation or interactivity.

Non-linear

Non-linear multimedia projects can be stopped at any point, re-started at a designated point, re-directed to a new chapter, scene or start point. Think video game or interactive instructional DVD.
